Art for Therapy

Hear the word therapy, may be the mind will immediately associate it with the healing process. No one did, but in fact not only the therapeutic use of medical measures, but also utilizes the realm of art.

Many people do not realize the magnitude of the role of art in life. Although often underestimated and not considered valuable, various studies in psychology in the 20th century proved that art can be one of the media appropriate therapy for post-traumatic healing. Art therapy is considered able to provide psychological services for those experiencing problems and pressures of life.

Art Therapy is applied to victims of the tsunami in Aceh and the eruption of Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta, especially for children with screenings around from village to village, as well as through painting and drawing. Why is this so?

American Art Therapy Association describes art therapy as a form of healing that uses the creative process of art to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional one of all ages.

Trustworthy, creative process that expresses the soul expressions help one in dealing with life issues, upgrading the skills themselves, to control themselves, reduce stress, increase self-confidence, and gain enlightenment.

For example, through pictures, emotions or feelings can be expressed deepest someone who is too painful if expressed in words. Various recent studies also said that art therapy can be an appropriate form of therapy for people with chronic illness, such as cancer. Music therapy, dance therapy, art therapy and other help cancer patients cope with anxiety, depression, and improve their overall quality of life.

Art therapy is also considered to be effective to treat diseases such as Alzheimer's memory degradation, people who experience cognitive decline, stroke, post-traumatic, stress disorder, and aging.

Using Art Therapy, can be a form of how to create good conditions in various situations of life, trust me.
