Inter-faith dialogue
For some people, four French youth, Samuel Grzybowski, Ismael Medjdoub, Josselin Rieth, and Victor Grezes, is doing something dreams: traveling around the world. However, there is an additional way that makes young people aged 19-21 years is more exciting than just traveling the world. It is inter-faith trip or interfaith tour, a journey with meaning.
Departure from Paris eight months ago, they (a Muslim, a Catholic, an atheist, and an agnostic) visited Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia prior to Australia, America lived week to a month in a country, meet, talk, and interviewing people involved in inter-faith effort. Every Wednesday, they reported a summary of the weekend trip in the article and the video lasted about three minutes are posted on the trip page, www.interfaithtour.com
There are three objectives of this project, which is to increase awareness of the inter-faith initiative, linking the perpetrators of that effort, and research. The first two objectives can be done when they travel around the world, while the third objective will be pursued on his return them to bring so many raw materials.
"While in Nairobi, we find the perpetrators of inter-faith effort was not know each other, but where they are close together. We strive to connect with each other principals. Said they".
The existence of an atheist and an agnostic in their team, described by Grezes and Rieth, who said that the French population is divided into three nearly equal, the religious people, people who Agnostic, Atheist, and people. So it is important for us to be involved in this project. Inter-faith initiative is a tool to build social cohesion in France and third groups should be included. "This project is very secular. Idea is how to retain their identity and the identity of others fully respect", they said.
In a conversation about their travel experiences at the Institute Francais Indonesia in Jakarta, Tuesday morning (25/02/2014), young children have a week in Jakarta was asked where inter-faith relations are very harmonious. Grzybowski mentioned three places, including Burkina Faso, Central African country surrounded by countries in conflict. Countries with more than 60 different sociocultural groups that live together in peace, among others, the habit of "kin kidding" (Parente a plaisanterie) them. Through the joking relationship, conflict is mitigated, the excitement increased, and perceived social cohesion. (diah)
